Cavalcadence plays Cadence 62: Pain x2 + Rapier! (All Zones Mode: AMPLIFIED)
So just for fun, I was doing some Low Percent Mary attempts... and things weren't going so well, so as a change of pace, I thought I'd try some normal Cadence runs instead. ^_^
And on the very first run... this run happened. ^.^
Yep, similar to the Mary Pain x2 run (Mary 85), the game offered Cadence 1-1 Boots of Pain, then later, a Ring of Pain... only this time, Cadence also had a Rapier. =)
After my previous Pain x2 run, I did some testing, and realized that lunging weapons (rapier, axe) would allow both Pain items to activate at the same time, so... by the end of this run, Cadence actually had a 7-damage lunge attack that also applied 1 Pain damage to other nearby enemies. =)
Anyway, despite me making some mistakes along the way (including accidentally damaging Dorian with bombs because I forgot about the blast helm + bomb charm combination Cadence had!), Cadence actually made it to the end... and I ended up with my first ever Pain x2 + Rapier win! ^_^

20:39 Ow. Frost Charm shattered! What...? Weird, the ooze golem only took 4 damage from a lunge...
20:49 Yep, 4 damage again! Gonna have to test that later...
- And in case anybody's curious, seems like if you have a lunging weapon + boots of pain, the ooze will negate damage from the boots (and the ooze will appear on the starting tile)... but if you don't have a lunging weapon, the boots will apply damage as normal (and the ooze will appear on the ending tile). Weird.
- So I guess... maybe lunge weapons apply damage before the lunge is complete... which causes the ooze golem to create the ooze on the starting tile... which then negates the boots, since they're now starting from an ooze tile. Or something like that. ^^;
