Cave Story and The Positivity of Games Criticism
2This is a critique of Cave Story. Not about Cave Story specifically though. Oh, like most of my critiques I will delve into my likes and dislikes of the game, and the reasoning behind them, but it's what happened after I finished playing the game that I found the most interesting.
Not having a positive experience with Cave Story, I had no idea how to start writing about it. During my research, I discovered that most of the criticism was of a highly positive nature. I was exposed to the reasons people love the game so much, and while I didn't agree, I was happy to see what others were getting out of a game that I had such a negative reaction too. I think that's one of the real benefits of criticism.
