Cave Story [Walkthrough] - Part 22 - Final Bosses
130Boss Fights:
1. Misery
Difficulty: 4/10
The whole fight she floats in the air. When you damage her with around 85 points she'll flash white and shoots black projectiles at you. After a few times hitting her she will surround herself with black rotating orbs that are used as shields and as soon as she teleports away they transform into red bats. First there are two and later on even four, which makes it harder to damage her.
Misery has two different attacks:
- She summons a giant block that falls down on you
- She shoots three slowly moving black orbs to the left/right side that transform into thunderbolts as soon as you're under them.
Try not to get hit too much, because you have to fight three more bosses!
2. The Doctor
Difficulty: 3/10
He teleports a lot through the room. As soon as the Doctor reappears he shoots twirling fireballs to the side your at. The further your away the harder it is to avoid this attack. His second attack is to float in mid-air and "explode" which shoots lots of red orbs in all directions.
All in all he isn't that hard ;-D
3. Muscle Doctor
Difficulty: 4/10
He isn't dead, yet! This form is a lot faster. He sometimes blinks red and charges in your direction. Most of the time you can easily avoid him, but he also has a second attack were he shoots a huge amount of red bats at you. Those bats only disappear when you shoot at them and they don't leave power up's behind D-:
4. Undead Core; Sue (Transformed); Misery (Transformed)
Difficulty: 5/10
First, knock out Sue and Misery. The Undead Core itself isn't hard. Sue charges at you with a whirl attack. While she's at it you can't hurt her. As soon as she stops shoot at her with all you got! When Sue's knocked out you should take care of Misery next. She summons different monsters like bats, Critters and Goldfish Missles which leave power up's behind. If you want to play safe you can just kill the monsters, collect the power ups or hearts and when you think you powered up your weapons enough just knock out Misery. The Undead Core is pretty simple. When it has a skull face it shoots orange blasts across the ceiling and floor and when it has a nasty grin the little cores shoot twirling orbs to the left. Near the end it'll get a toothless mouth, the orange blasts return, and in the middle it'll shoot three giant white orbs (like the ones from the original core fight).
This boss is also harder than the previous fights, because you can be low on health when the fight starts plus you actually fight one boss and two mini-bosses at a time.
