We blew up so many pirates that challenged us... that I lost count.
We upgraded to my heavy DN and 2 BC, and we got a new mission...

Starbase Assault

We have been given a prestigious assignment... To destroy a Lyran Starbase! To accomplish this, we have been assigned more than a dozen ships. Enemy is likely to call for reinforcements, but what we have should be more than sufficient firepower to pulverize the base and any reinforcements...
We basically let the lighter ships go in first, and indeed, two frigates were destroyed. The rest of the ships lined up just outside the ESG range. I charged, took down the ESG with my shields, made a hard right, lost my left-front shield, THEN saw the two Lyran frigates hiding behind the base. They shot me in the unshielded area, causing damage, but we are a dreadnought and that damage barely affected our combat effectiveness. We fired back, while I recalled the fighters to protect us, and my distraction proved sufficient as the rest of the ships readied their overloads and in their next salvo, destroyed the starbase.
The Lyran ships attempted to disengage, but my 2 battlecruisers quickly overtook the two frigates and destroyed them, ending the mission.
