1Welcome to Captain Chang Plays... Starfleet Command, Hydran Campaign.
In the previous episode, we lead an attritional war, and we somehow lost one of the two Overlord-class battlecruisers, and there are no replacements.
We kept on fighting, and tried moving to one of the other sectors, but the Klingons are advancing even as we pushed the Lyrans back. There is no sector untouched by war, and none of the starbases have any replacement ships.
NOTE: I believe I hit a bug of some sort.
We kept on getting sent to Starbase assaults and Starbase defenses until we fell when the latest Klingon attack proved to be too much. I was surrounded by Klingon ships and engines pounded to scrap. Without the ability to even move, even the DN is a sitting duck. The other two ships tried but did not last much longer. The inability to get more ships turned out to be a key factor. At least we went down fighting.
And that's it for the Hydran campaign, folks. Not sure what happened there. There should have been a few other missions.
Next week, we have a new series, another retro game from 2005... called Combat Wings. Let's just say, when non-Americans (Polish developers) do a game about Americans, and they probably did not hire any Americans to go over their script, the result is often, unintentionally hilarious.

Unfortunately, we will not be playing the Lyrans or the Romulans. I am notoriously bad in playing both, and I can't survive the Lyran campaign playing mid-era ships. I was told it's easy when playing early-era ships, but by this time I've lost interest and moved on to other games. We may pick this up some... other time.
