CD Projekt Red servers were hacked by hackers. CD Projekt Red posted a Tweet sharing this information about the incident including the ransom note that was left for them to read as a txt file so it seems.

According to the hacker, full copies of the source codes from the perforce server for Cyberpunk 2077, Witcher 3, Gwent and unreleased version of Witcher 3 has been obtained by the hackers. They said they also dumped all of the documents relating to accounting, administration, legal, HR, investor relations and more.

The actors who hacked demand that CDPR will contact them within 48 hours or they will release the data and information to journalists and leak it online.

CDPR does have back to restore the data as the network in which the data resided was encrypted by the hackers.
