-------------------------

Welcome to today's CDP, and this time we're diving right back into SUDA with the Crystron archetype. The Crystron archetype consists of WATER Machine monsters whose non-Tuners involve destroying cards, setting up for their Tuners to Synchro Summon during the opponent's turn, or adding consistency. For example, Crystron Smiger can destroy any face-up card you control to Special Summon a Crystron Tuner from your deck. OR, you can elect to use its GY effect, banishing Smiger to tutor any Crystron S/T. As for their Tuner lineup, Crystron Rion is a Level 3 that can Special Summon a banished non-Tuner then Synchro Summon a Machine during the opponent's Main Phase or Battle Phase. Crystron Citree is a Level 2 that does the same, just Special Summoning a non-Tuner from your GY. And then there's the new addition, Crystron Tristalos, which when your opponent activates a card or effect, can Special Summon a Crystron from your Deck then immediately Synchro Summon a Machine. Tristalos also has a GY effect, banishing itself to destroy a Synchro Monster you control and Special Summon 2 Crystron monsters from the deck!

Now that you've been introduced to the general gameplan, let's talk about the other new Crystron elements making their debut in SUDA. First up is Crystron Eleskeletas, the ideal Synchro to destroy with Tristalos. This Level 7 Synchro recovers a Crystron card from your GY or banishment on Synchro Summon, and when it is destroyed, it Special Summons a Crystron from your GY or banishment. Combine this with their new Spell Card, Crystron Inclusion, which tutors a Crystron card on activation as well as Special Summons a Crsytron monster by banishing itself from the GY, and you'll quickly find yourself looping resources into the field, into the GY, into your banishment, into your Deck, and back again. The last new card is Crystron Cluster, a Continuous Trap that can shuffle a Crystron card from your GY or banishment into the deck to destroy 1 or 2 face-up cards on the field, giving you even more longevity and power in the grind game.

To support the Crystron strategy today, I've added a few fun elements. First up is an Icejade engine, led by Icejade Ran Aegirine. This Level 7 Tuner can start off a combo by Synchro Summoning Icejade Gymir Aegirine, a Level 10 Synchro that can not only protect your monsters from being destroyed or banished by your opponent, but also that can Special Summon itself back from the GY if you do end up having to destroy it with the GY effect of Tristalos. There's also Power Tool Braver Dragon, a Level 9 Machine Synchro that equips 3 Equip Spells on Summon, and that has a Quick Effect disruption at its disposal. I chose to include Life Extreme, Metalsilver Armor, and Trap Gatherer, but the exact choice is up to you. I've also found the Superheavy Samurai Synchro Monsters as a neat tech option, giving you Level 5, 8 and 12 Machines that can pull their weight... literally! With that, I hope you enjoy the new iteration of the Crystron deck, and catch you next time as we 'dive' into the depths!
