Welcome back for today's CDP, and this one continues the trends of expanding the 'Abyss' storyline archetypes into fun hybrids. In particular, today's build enables the Hunder family theme, a group of Level 4 LIGHT Thunder monsters to do what they do best - Xyz Summon. Mahunder and Pahunder serve as the core to this nuclear family, each offering an Ignition Effect to Normal Summon an additional Level 4 LIGHT Thunder monster from the hand. Keeping this family together is Brohunder, another LIGHT Thunder that tutors any Level 4 LIGHT Thunder monster on summon, such as Batterman Solar or Diana the Light Spirit. Either way, two hunders gives you the opportunity to make a Rank 4, such as Springans Merrymaker, leading us into our second archetype!

The Springans are a set of FIRE/Machines that revolve around Xyz Monsters and re-attaching themselves as Xyz Material, even after sent to the GY. However MerryMaker serves a different purpose here - it is primarily used as Xyz Material for Gigantic "Champion" Sargas, a Rank 8 Xyz Monster that can tutor a Springans or Therion card while it has material. This tutors Therion "King" Regulus, or even my favorite Springan support card to date, Tallyho! Springans! which detaches up to 3 materials from monsters you control to tutor a Springans than Special Summon that many Springans from hand/GY equal to the number of materials detached at the beginning. This play flows into more Xyz monsters, such as another Rank 8s or another Rank 4 to supplement your Merrymaker.

The last piece of this deck is the Bystial archetype, featured once again for its easy ability to Special Summon itself from the hand and provide a DARK counterpoint to your LIGHT Hunders. This is important, as any Bystial from Bystial Saronir to Bystial Druiswurm can be used as the Tuner for a Synchro Summon of Chaos Angel with any Level 4 LIGHT Thunder. What makes this even more potent of a combo is the newest Branded Continuous Trap, Branded Etude, which lets you Synchro Summon during the opponent's turn, using a Dragon monster as material. All of these fun engines at play enable an array of threats from your Extra Deck, enabling this hybrid chimera of a strategy to overwhelm unexpected opponents. Nothing beats the power of Family!
