CELINE DION has been forced to cancel the rest of her current US Courage Tour due to a crippling health battle.
Just yesterday, the singer posted a heartbreaking personal message to fans about her husband: "I would be lying if I said I’m fine, I think of you at least a hundred times, cause in the echo of my voice I hear your words just like you’re there… I miss you – Céline xx" Today, she has been forced to announce that all the remaining 16 North American dates of her tour will be cancelled. The Courage World Tour, like so many others, had been interrupted by the global pandemic, but was due to resume in March. Last autumn, however, the Canadian superstar went public with her ongoing health battles and now, it seems, her long road to recovery is still ongoing. UK and European fans are desperate to know what will happen to the remaining upcoming 2002 concert dates.
In a message posted today, Dion said: "I was really hoping that I’d be good to go by now, but I suppose I just have to be more patient and follow the regimen that my doctors are prescribing. There’s a lot of organising and preparation that goes into our shows, and so we have to make decisions today which will affect the plans two months down the road.
"I’ll be so glad to get back to full health, as well as all of us getting past this pandemic, and I can’t wait to be back on stage again. Meanwhile, I’ve been very touched by all the words of encouragement that everyone’s been sending to me on social media. I feel your love and support and it means the world to me."
But what about the UK and European dates?
So far, only the US concert dates have been officially cancelled. At the very end of the announcement, it says: "The European leg of Celine Dion's Courage World Tour is still scheduled to begin May 25, 2022, in Birmingham, England."
Last October, Dion opened up about her crippling health battles, revealing she was "experiencing severe and persistent muscle spasms which are preventing me from performing."
At the time, she cancelled the opening of a new spectacular residency in Las Vegas, explaining that her symptoms "are prohibiting her from participating in the ongoing rehearsals for the new show."
CELINE DION UK TOUR DATES 2022: The following shows are currently still scheduled to go ahead.
May 25 and 26 at the Utilita Arena, Birmingham. May 29 and 30 at the O2 Arena, London. June 1 and 2 at the 3Arena in Dublin. June 5 and 6 at the AO Arena, Manchester. June 8 and 9 at the Ovo Hydro in Glasgow.

The Courage World Tour, like the Las Vegas Residency, is the first that Dion has tackled since the loss of her husband of 22 years, René Angélil, in 2016.
