Although CEMU 1.15.2 is now released for Patreon supporters (and I am a Patreon supporter so I have access to it), this video was recorded and uploaded before then, and had to be left Private to process (YouTube is going through some kind of problem right now that causes 4K videos to take a lot longer to process properly). That being said, I couldn't notice any difference with this game in 1.15.2, nothing was really changed that should effect this game.

This game is a personal favourite of mine of the Wii U's library. It got a 3DS port with a slight bit of extra content but I feel the Wii U version is still far better as the 3DS version just doesn't capture the comfy aesthetic of the Wii U version nearly as well.

Emulation-wise, the game runs perfectly and is fully playable with some minor issues. The hub world is supposed to be locked to 30 FPS on Wii U, but in CEMU, it will run at 60 FPS like the rest of the game, but also at 2x game speed. This can arguably be beneficial for getting around quicker, but it does mess up any cutscene animations that play out in the hub world. The ideal solution here would be to keep the 60 FPS but retain 1x game speed, with an option to also lock it to 30 FPS like on a real Wii U for accuracy purposes.

The 2D background elements of loading screens and some menus also do not display, instead displaying a grey background. Luckily, all menu option graphics are still rendering as they should so it doesn't effect gameplay.

Also, I lowered the bit rate on this video (130 Mbps to 85 Mbps) compared to my other videos of late as I did a Private test of a 130 Mbps VS a 85 Mbps recording of the same Mario Kart 8 replay. I couldn't notice any discernible difference as I think 85 Mbps is actually YouTube's limit, so I will probably record this way from now on to make uploading a bit faster. Let me know if you think it looks worse compared to other videos, though.

Since I'm starting to get questions regarding what my CEMU settings are from some people, I will just take this chance to say that in most games, I use the standard recommended settings as described in the official CEMU setup guide. There are some exceptions like Breath of the Wild but with most other games (and all I have shown so far besides BotW), I use the recommended settings from this guide.

In the future, I may start making my own emulation setup guides to have a more permanent solution to this potential issue, but I want to wait until I have a better setup first.
