Censored Card Artworks - Removing Pain
10,094Occasionally Konami will censor cards becuase they show characters in pain, like in this example "Abyss-sphere", where Abysslinde is show drowing and holding her neck in the japanese art. Its changed in the TCG to show her hand just in a fist near her mouth, and her mouth is closed to just look upset or pouty instead.
In the Japanese artwork on "Armed Samurai - Ben Kei", you can see him covered in arrows that are sticking out of his body. But in the TCG they're all removed, and he looks like hes kneeling over not in pain, but just to look cool instead.
In the Japanese artwork on "Butterflyoke", you can see 4 yellow butterflies flying around a pound in which a person has their hand sticking out of the water. In the TCG artwork, the hand is missing and there are just ripples in the water randomly. And seeing as the effect of the card is to keep changing an opponents monster to deffense position so it cant attack, the OCG art makes more sense as one can surmize the butterflies are keep the person underwater.
And then there's the strangest censorship in this tone with "Arrivalrivals", where they changed the TCG art to remove Alchemic Magician hand from pinching the cheek of Slacker Magician.
