Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Cubix: Robots For Everyone: Race ’n Robots for the PlayStation developed by Blitz Games and published by 3DO.

Based on the animated series Cubix: Robots For Everyone, Race ’n Robots is a top-down racing game that puts players in control of robots from the show. Cubix, Maximix, Dondon, Mozzarelix and Pesticide are all there, and the story mode features nine different tracks to race them on. Between each level, players can upgrade their robot by purchasing new parts. The gameplay is classically styled top-down racing with very simple controls—you simply move the analog stick to drive. There are obstacles all over the track to give your robot trouble, as well as lots of fun power-ups a la Mario Kart. Beat your opponents to the finish line with speed, grace and if possible, incredibly dangerous missiles. Whatever works in Cubix: Robots For Everyone: Race ’n Robots! This is a single-player racing game.

This video review features video gameplay footage of Cubix: Robots For Everyone: Race ’n Robots for the PlayStation and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
