Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow video review of Exerion for Nintendo Famicom, developed by TOSE and published by Jaleco.

Exerion: A SHMUP with some new ideas. Or, rather, new ideas for an arcade game in 1983, which is when it originally hit arcades. The quarter-screen parallax scrolling at the bottom, the wider-than-a-screen maneuverability, the limitation on rapid-fire (but no such limitation on the slower dual guns)... all just a little outside the expectations you'd get from a Xevious or Gradius or R-Type.
