Hack, Slash, Loot is quite nearly the platonic ideal of the roguelike: a turn-based, grid-based RPG with plenty of weapons and items to collect, hordes of monsters waiting behind every door of the dungeon, chests that may or may not be willing to eat you, even more monsters, random effects that make you think twice about quaffing that potion... oh, and more monsters. The goal: don't die. Easier said than done. And it all starts in one tiny little room.
