Based on a novel widely considered as a building block of the steampunk concept, Steel Empire is a side-scrolling shooter from an era when side-scrolling shooters were the norm. What made it so unique, however, was its unique style and art. With its massive airships to its floating cities in the clouds, Steel Empire embodies the look and feel of steampunk. In a world of space shooters, that was very notable. This 3DS remake keeps the same 16-bit visual style, but sharper and more vibrant than ever before. Steel Empire is a single-player game on the Nintendo 3DS.
