Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Nacho Libre for the Nintendo DS developed by Budcat Creations and published by Majesco.

Based on the film of the same name, Nacho Libre takes players on the epic journey of a monk-turned-luchador. And people say video games are weird sometimes. Nacho Libre presents the film's story in a unique style, giving the characters the appearance of paper dolls. Their heads bob, their arms can be pulled off—it's a far more creative route than most movie games take. In terms of the gameplay, there are two components to Nacho Libre. The primary mode is the wrestling, but there are also minigames scattered between the matches in the story mode. These are used to power-up your character. The minigames are simple, ranging from basketball and catapults to racing and puzzles, but they give the game diversity. The core wrestling component benefits greatly from the "photo puppetry" visual style, as players can literally pull their opponents' limbs off. Nacho Libre is a single and multiplayer game released exclusively for the Nintendo DS.

This video review features video gameplay footage of Nacho Libre for the Nintendo DS and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
