Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of World Series Baseball '95 for the Game Gear developed and published by SEGA.

The Game Gear's streak of great sports games continued with World Series Baseball '95, another outstanding handheld baseball game for its time. World Series Baseball '95 continued SEGA's new World Series Baseball series, and on the Game Gear, it felt awfully similar to 1992's The Majors Pro Baseball. The gameplay is mostly identical, although some changes were made. A new option makes fielders make plays automatically, addressing the defensive problems with The Majors Pro Baseball. The game also has the MLB license, so all teams and players from the 1994 season are present and accounted for. If you like classic baseball games like RBI Baseball, World Series Baseball '95 offers the same retro gameplay on the go. Or at least, to the extent that the battery-draining Game Gear was ever really "on the go." World Series Baseball '95 is a single and multiplayer game.

This video review features video gameplay footage of World Series Baseball '95 for the Game Gear and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
