Baseball released in 1988, it had plenty of competition on the base paths. The 8-bit era was a good era for baseball games, and even though the NES had a terrific line-up, R.B.I. Baseball was always at the top of the order. Developed by Namco and published on the NES by Atari's off-shoot brand Tengen, R.B.I. Baseball is an arcade-style baseball game in the classic 8-bit tradition. Virtually everything you do in the game — throwing, pitching and hitting — uses the same button, with movement and direction handled by the directional pad. It's simple to play, but there's also a fine art to mastering its mechanics. This video review features video gameplay footage of R.B.I.
