Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Spyro Orange: The Cortex Conspiracy for the Game Boy Advance developed by Vicarious Visions and published by Vivendi Universal.

Spyro Orange: The Cortex Conspiracy is a 2004 minigame-based platform game for the Game Boy Advance. It is a crossover between the Spyro and Crash Bandicoot franchises. In fact, the game was released alongside a companion game, Crash Bandicoot Purple: Ripto's Rampage. Spyro Orange features six minigames spread across several levels, with the minigames being adapted to match the aesthetic of each level. To progress, players must complete each of the minigames in the level. The minigames are scattered, however, and must be found in the hub-like levels before they can be played. That's where the 2D platforming comes into play. The game's minigames range from basic takes on Breakout to scrolling shooters. Spyro Orange and Crash Bandicoot Purple were the first crossovers between the two characters and were exclusive releases for the Game Boy Advance.

This video review features video gameplay footage of Spyro Orange: The Cortex Conspiracy for the Game Boy Advance and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
