Syphon Filter was a hit series on the original Playstation and its move to the PS2 saw some big changes. For one, you no longer play as series hero Gabe Logan. Instead, you are a recruit in Gabe's agency as you fight the outbreak of a new virus. Being a recruit, you are still raw so you can go up in rank and unlock better gear and stats. The game also had a big focus on online multiplayer where you could cooperatively team up with up to three other players to complete missions and access new areas that can't be reached alone. It is a fun continuation but can feel limited and doesn't have the same magic as the originals.
