Chained Echoes - Part 1: Crystal Crushing & Sandworm Smashing
Here is a new indie JRPG that came out within the past week that has been on my radar since its Kickstarter. I wanted to cover it properly, but I don't have the time at the moment, so this may be something I can visit down the line. The mecha premise to it has me a little excited, but after that brief mech fight in the tutorial, I am not sure how satisfying it will be long term.
As for premise, I still don't have much to give you. We play as some mecenaries for the tutorial where we have to destroy a crystal. However, that sets off a series of events that we learn a little about when we hop over to some new characters who need to investigate an armed individual by a parade that leads to a fight with a sandworm. When that is all done, we hop over to another character where I had to stop.
As for this game, if there is interest, I can try to keep going after I finally finish Zero. I haven't had the time to play it for the past couple weeks, and I've burned through my backlog of it to upload. Sadly, I will need to go back into it afterward to get the secret dungeon, so that is going to be a heavy time investment for the remainder of the month. If things go smoothly, this may be an option in January, but I can't make any promises for sure yet.
