Going deeper yet, we enter the cavernous part of the crater. Releasing the final lock, we are able to enter the very bottom of the crater, releasing the prehistoric Pokemon in the process. Luckily, like everything else, they don't stand a chance, so we are able to force our way into the deepest reaches of the lab. After beating the opponent there, we enter the story guided segment of the story and bring the narrative to a close.

Overall, I am not really expecting to hear anything about where the robot went off to since there would be no robot to find in the Violet version. It could have been a really neat easter egg if there were some clues what it went up to in the past or if there were remnants of it to find somewhere. I know Robo only waited 400 years in Chrono Trigger and this is a much longer period of time, so that may be part of the reason. The other possibility could have been that the robot was instantly destroyed on the other side and that is why there was nothing to find.
