Olimar w/o Pikmin (MKDH) VS Sonic (L9) - Bunny Hood Brawl (Stamina of 150 each)

Olimar, sitting in worry if he could ever bring balance to the world of Brawl after having been ripped up so ridiculously by Pit's arrow spam, made worse by the most annoying peanut gallery ever that manages to prove that the San Francisco Bay Area doesn't deserve to be called the "Yay Area", suddenly gets challenged by Sonic, who was looking for a tactician to challenge, on terms that he may have his own speed enhanced seeing as Sonic's own will be. Olimar accepts, but keeps his Pikmin under safety by Ness and Kirby in case of attacks from others to take advantage of the crashed morale. Olimar chooses to have his own speed enhanced, naturally. At this point it's welcome that Sonic is wanting to help him--of course, Olimar is sure it's in a different way than Sonic may be intending, since the mobility boost will no doubt hinder his traction when jumping and running. Can Olimar avoid being too slow to adjust to Sonic's own game and beat him at it?

Yeah, I think the shallow girls shouldn't be saying things like "wanna suck my pee" to mock me. You're not going to believe it, but I actually killed the Pit player first on the first two stock. That peanut gallery was so sadistic that it got distracting--and the slightest bit of distraction against Pit on Final Destination and you will lose, simple as that. Yeah, I just can't get over that tournament so easily. Why should I? $200 a night for a low quality room, WTF?

Anyway, the challenge was provided by DanGR, a fellow Olimar mainer on SmashBoards. Here's his post for it:
"Try beating a lvl 9 sonic without pikmin set in special brawl with bunny ears. That would be funny to watch."

That was from http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=186994

Well, I'm intending for some challenges for myself, because I want to believe characters like Pit are somehow balanced, I really do. But the evidence in his B moves is seriously stacked against him. Anyway, it's no longer just for me FWIW; now that one fellow Olimar mainer (Dr. Hyde) has quit Brawl because of issues with n00bs who "swarmed over the discovery of Snake's Mortar slide" (no idea what it's about, but it definitely sounds broken), and another one (Hai Im Fearless) has (apparently) converted to Meta Knight, a character definitely on the overpowered side, this is for the sake of all Olimar mainers out there, as well as all mainers of characters like Ness and Kirby.

As to the challenge itself, it took me 5 tries. I think the irony that I ended up outdamaging Sonic by a good deal on this try was most likely from pattern memorization. Of course, it's ideal to learn an opponent's moves anyway in order to fight them effectively--the whole point of putting challenges with me as Ness or Kirby on highest priority because they can be awful against Marth (and probably Meta Knight by extension).
