Huskarl Counter = Champion
additionally the AOE damage from champions leave Hurksarls worthless. Masses of pikemen also does well to help match the gothic spam and dish out some attack damage while replenishing champions, scoprians, archer line, siege lines, and castle drops and as well as trebs for efficient castle raising and the possible knight choice also does well countering the Huskarl.

Lastly, the Huskarl does not do well vs ranged units in very tight choke points. Build choke points with walls or buildings or utilize natural choke points on the map to execute those heavy armored swordsmen!
