Channel Update (1.6.18)
Hey everyone, Trojan here with a quick update regarding the Famitracker Bits series of videos.
I am currently working on building up a backlog of tracks to post, and hope to resume regular updates on the 26th this month. However, that comes with a bit of a schedule change. Instead of posting on Saturday mornings, I'll be posting on Friday evenings, since I'll be more on the ball around then (around 5-6 PM MST; exact times may vary).
Now, recently I've been posting mirrors to both Bitchute and NicoNicoDouga, and as promised, here's what happening with both.
Regarding NND, I've found it surprisingly easy to work with so far, despite upload times being slow. That might be because of me not being premium, something I was planning to decide on by the 6th after the festivities have died down. However, around Christmas, it did receive a very un-festive DDOS attack, which resulted in the site being inaccessible to anyone outside of Japan.
Thankfully it's since been resolved, but now I'll be waiting until I reach around 45 videos on there before I fully decide to take the plunge (I'm currently at 14, because of all the reuploads, so it might be around February or March). Again, $5 per month isn't something I'm taking lightly.
As for Bitchute, I'll keep uploading there, though there are some quirks that I need to work out before I fully board this ship. I've run into an issue where the video uploads twice, and both become public. It's annoying as hell, and at least once has it forced me to re-update my YouTube description to fix it. I also need to remember to take cover photos because apparently it doesn't do that automatically. A bit inconvenient, but eh.
Going forward, I'll also be looking into Dailymotion and Vimeo, just so I don't get caught off guard like I did with Vidme shutting down. Probably leaning towards the latter, since Dailymotion is kind of buggy in Pale Moon (the browser I'm currently using; Brave doesn't have this issue, but then it's not a browser I use too often).
Finally, I'll see about posting data for my Famitracker Bits videos for 2017 (such as ratings, scheduling, how much I've used a certain expansion chip, etc.); it's more for me than anything, but hey, you might end up liking it.
That being said, thank you guys for watching, and I'll see you back here on the 26th for more Famitracker Bits.
