Chaos Gate LP Ep11 - Culexus Flexes on some Psykers, Spreaders and Germs. Queen.
11We encounter a new type of bloom threat, the hive germs. With the ability to shoot plague inducing gunk across literally the entire map every single turn whilst being immune to damage until all the smaller germs around the map are destroyed they pose a unique threat.
Fortunately Culexus Assassins are a perfect counter since the plague attack is inherently psychic since it is coming from a daemonic entity, the culexus is entirely immune. The apothecary donned some special terminator armour from the back of our armory that also granted him immunity to plague and off we went on a merry mission to slay the germ, which we ended achieving with ease.
From here the Culexus' powers only grew stronger. A pair of knights and the vindicare accompanied her to destroy a bloomspawn spreader which she achieved after quite a fight. Dozens of plaguebearers and marines were felled and we grew stronger for each one.
Campaign rules are as follows:
Grandmaster mode on.
Ruthless difficulty.
Maximum of 2 of any grey knight class allowed in the barracks.
Try to avoid using 2 knights of the same class on a mission unless it would result in not having 4 knights/assassins.
