In the early 2010s, Mobile Platform was seen not as a valid gaming system. Previous efforts from Nokia with the N-Gage line has failed miserably to compete with GBA and NDS line from Nintendo. This will however change dramatically after Apple introduced iPhone. With Smartphones maturing year by year, 2010 seems to be the breakout year for Mobile system. This is the year that Square Enix released their original RPG for the Platform: Chaos Rings.

Fast forward to 2012, Square Enix released a true sequel for the Chaos Rings: Chaos Rings II (the 2011's Chaos Rings Omega is a prequel for the original game). With all the advancement in the Mobile world, can Chaos Rings II be the true original JRPG for the platform?

Pada awal dekade 2010an, platform game di Mobile masih dipandang sebelah mata. Usaha Nokia membuatnya menjadi sistem gaming yang valid melalui seri N-Gage gagal total bersaing dengan GBA dan NDS dari Nintendo. Industri game di ponsel berubah drastis setelah Apple memperkenalkan iPhone. Dengan Smartphone menjadi makin maju, 2010 sepertinya menjadi tahun breakout bagi sistem Mobile. Ini adalah tahun di mana Square Enix merilis JRPG orisinil mereka untuk sistem iOS: Chaos Rings.

Melompat ke 2012, Square Enix merilis sebuah sekuel yang sungguhan bagi Chaos Rings: Chaos Rings II (Chaos Rings Omega yang dirilis di tahun 2011 hanyalah prekuel bagi game orisinilnya). Dengan semua kemajuan di dunia Mobile, bisakah Chaos Rings II menjadi JRPG orisinil yang bonafit bagi platform ini?
