Everything begins with Eiji Tsuburaya's dream. After helping create the iconic Godzilla, Tsuburaya wishes to bring that kind of special effects to the television. The result of his dream is the Ultraman series, the pioneer of the Tokusatsu genre.
Decades passes and the franchise is as strong as ever. The series that began in 1966 has now spawned numerous series, movies, comics, and video games as well.
In this episode of Geek Gaek, I'll review what is considered Ultraman's definite game in the 16-bit era. Since the 90s was the peak of the 2D Fighting era, could Ultraman use the momentum to propel forward?

Semua diawali dari mimpi Eiji Tsuburaya. Setelah ikut membidani lahirnya Godzilla, Tsuburaya berharap untuk membawa efek spesial itu ke layar kaca untuk bisa dinikmati oleh audiens lebih luas di Jepang. Hasil dari mimpi itu adalah serial Ultraman yang adalah cikal bakal lahirnya genre Tokusatsu di Jepang.
Puluhan tahun berlalu, franchise Ultraman yang menjadi pionir genre Tokusatsu masih sangat populer. Serial yang berawal di tahun 1966 itu sudah berkembang memiliki banyak sekuel, serial animasi, komik, dan juga Video Game.
