This is Chapter 1 of my first self-published book, 'The Protector - Volume 1'. The second week in a row and I've got the next chapter out... good so far! Chapter 1 was really the turning point for me in making me confident in this audiobook project. As well, throughout all previous versions of 'The Protector', this bus scene was always included. I really am happy with the way it turned out and I hope you all find enjoyment in my portrayal of Zane as well as the other talented voice actors in this chapter!
ABOUT THE CAST (New Cast):
I found Nakaeshima on the website 'Casting Call Club'. Their talent really stood out to me and I'm happy to have selected them for this role! Clare was very versatile and supplied many different takes of their lines, I definitely recommend her as a voice actress who can get the job done in a professional manner! I loved working with Clare and for her to take on this ambitious, long role as the main female lead of 'The Protector - Volume 1 (Audiobook)' really shows her willingness to step forward and try anything! I knew this role would be a bit daunting as there's quite a bit to it, but Nakaeshima stepped up and made it her own! Please check her out on YouTube or on Casting Call Club for voice acting roles!
MC Dent is actually sorta the inspiration for this entire project! I met him during our hosting efforts at AVCon 2018. Marcus is an extraordinary host, going around Australia to host several events, and it's been a great learning experience working alongside him. After Marcus checked out the book, as I gave him a copy to read shortly before it was actually released in September, he brought up the fact he really wanted to be the Bus Driver if I ever turned the book into an audiobook, as he thought the overly Australian mannerisms the character had was amusing and thought he could portray him well. In the end, that's exactly what we've done! Marcus killed the role as the Bus Driver, lent his voice to another character you'll see next chapter and helped pave the way for this entire project! Here's to working with Marcus in a future capacity, in AVCon or otherwise!
Louise Stubs is an extra recommended by Marcus when I needed an extra female vocalist to do a 'short, emotional' scene. I personally think Louise nailed the line, however, Marcus noted she didn't really have any social media link to credit. Since I can't thank her by promoting her, I'll thank her here!
