Chapter 2 (2/10): Chocobos | Final Fantasy VII (7) Rebirth (100% & No Commentary)
In this part, we begin by entering and exploring the first region of the game, the Grasslands. As we continue on our way, we eventually come across Bill's Chocobo Ranch and learn how to catch Piko, the Grasslands Chocobo. Afterwards, we talk with Chadley and learn about World Intel, Remnawave Towers, and the Combat Simulator.

---------Additional Info---------
- Each region of the game will have its very own Chocobo for us to find. The method that we have to use to gain its assistance will vary per region, however once we gain its trust, we can call them to our side at any time while we are in that region using the Chocowhistle. Piko is our Chocobo for the Grasslands and we'll learn how to catch him with Chocobilly's help at Bill's Chocobo Ranch. The method for Piko is to sneak over to him while avoiding being detected by him or the other chocobos. We cannot be seen while crouched in tall gras, and dodge rolling doesn't make noise. Lastly, rocks can be thrown to distract chocobos.
- Each region has a very wide range of collectible information known as World Intel. This will be explained by Chadley while visiting Bill's Chocobo Ranch. This intel consists of: Activation Intel (Remnawave Towers), Expedition Intel (Lifesprings), Divine Intel (Summon Crystals), Fiend Intel (Combat Assignments) and by extension Classified Intel (Regional Bosses), Phenomenon Intel (Protorelics), Moogle Intel, and Excavation Intel. I will be giving each form of Intel its own video from here out as they will be quite the undertaking to complete overall. After completing a World Intel location, it will become a Fast-Travel location, making getting around the region significantly easier. Completing World Intel gives points used to buy new Materia from Chadley.
- Upon reuniting with Chadley, we also unlock Chadley's Combat Simulator. While speaking with Chadley we can take on various challenges in his combat simulator that are unlocked after meeting various conditions, and we will be rewarded with unique types of Materia. These conditions include: defeating at least one of every type of fiend available in that region, which also includes completing the Fiend Intel section of that region's World Intel as Fiend Intel are simply upgraded versions of that region's fiends. We will also obtain the Enemy Skill Materia as a reward from Chadley. Enemy Skills in this game are exclusively obtained through completing certain challenges in Chadley's Combat Simulator, and we'll have to upgrade the Enemy Skill Materia to level 2 before we can get most of them. It can be upgraded by equipping it to an active party member and having them participate in battles.
- There are a few other collectible activities we can do in each region that do not have anything to do with World Intel. These include Chocobo Stops, and Caches. Chocobo Stops are more or less fast-travel locations where we can rest (at the cost of a Cushion), but they require us to fix the Stop first. While exploring, we will encounter Chocobo Chicks that will guide us to their stops and ask for our help. We can fix the stop by picking up the fallen signpost, and these Stops will usually be included in the Remnawave Tower videos. As for Caches, we will find about eight of them in each region and they consist of two to three Chests and Shinra Boxes that usually contain Moogle Medals. After collecting every chest in a Cache, it will be considered complete and will become accessible as a fast-travel location, just like World Intel locations. Caches will get their own videos.
- Lastly, we compete in Hustle de Chocobo, which is a minor minigame hosted by Choco Billy. The goal is to get us used to riding a Chocobo and to have us run laps around the Ranch while making sure to get close to each goalpost without directly hitting them. There are three ranks worth of rewards, and the best rewards are obtained by finishing in less than 31 Seconds.
