I bought a USB 3 external SSD caddy of ebay for just over £5 delivered and a 480gb Kingston SSD from CCL for £28 delivered. The cheapest external SSD's I can find are around £75 and are 1tb, that is a lot to outlay if you don't need one that big plus you can buy fast SSD's that are a terabyte for under £50 if you look around.
