Assume the role of a solitary stalker and traverse a photorealistic, seamless 64-km² radioactive zone, showcasing a variety of environments that bring a post-apocalyptic atmosphere to life from different perspectives. Navigate through the Zone, carving out your fate as you make choices within a sprawling, branching narrative.
Encounter a diverse array of enemies and create hundreds of weapon combinations. Interact with members from various factions, determining who earns your trust and who deserves a bullet. Dive into intense gunfights against enemies employing varied tactics to outmaneuver you. Select your preferred firearms from over 30 types of weapons, each with numerous modifications, allowing for the creation of countless unique and deadly combinations.
Face legendary mutants with distinct behavior models. Brace yourself for encounters with terrifying mutated creatures that pursue you with varying behavior patterns. Mutants may manifest in different subtypes, adding unpredictability to their actions. The most extreme dangers lurk in regions where lairs teem with numerous mutants hunting in packs.
Seek out artifacts of incredible value amidst unforgiving anomalies. The Zone's most precious artifacts and secrets lie within its most perilous areas. Exercise caution around dangerous anomalies and the singularly destructive arch-anomalies as you search for highly prized artifacts dispersed throughout the Zone.
