Let’s Play Capitalistic and Haughty Extraordinaires Engaging in Riveting and Intriguing Occupation, aka C.H.E.E.R.I.O.! 💰

There’s something VERY special about this game, and that’s the fact that I made it together with two awesome dudes, Amdioz (pixel art and starring in this video) and Holiday Reaper (programmer) 😀

CHEERIO was made in about 40 hours at the Create Jam 2019 Fall Edition in Aalborg, Denmark. It was an awesome event with about 150 participants producing almost 30 (!) awesome games (board games included) 🕹️

Our little volleyball game with posh animals, CHEERIO, won for “Best Game” voted by the other participants! Not only that, but we got an “Honorable Mention” (one of two) for the “Industry Award”! 😲

CHEERIO Game Overview:
Capitalistic and Haughty Extraordinaires Engaging in Riveting and Intriguing Occupation tries to answer the age old question of who would win: a rabbit or a turtle? The rich animals of Sir Flufferworth and Sir Turtleton tries to find the answer on the volleyball field for the prize of even more money! 💰

CHEERIO is a posh animal sports game and a mix of the old classic Slime Volleyball (of Slime Sports) sprinkled with some classic platformer gameplay 🎮

The BIG TWIST of CHEERIO is the fact that the game evolves throughout the match adding random modifiers to the rules before the finale where Judge Marwyn makes it rain! 🤑

The random modifiers makes it so that no match feels the same and the simple gameplay feels fun forever (I’m sure) 😆

The theme Create Jam 2019 Fall Edition was “Level Up!” which C.H.E.E.R.I.O. stuck to with the random modifiers “leveling up” the match 😁
