Back when Duke Nukem 3D was a relatively new game, George-William BERNARD graced the modding community with his mod named "Genetic" in 1999. The episodes Last Reaction and Water Bases were met with glowing praise, but by the third episode Chimera, Bernard sadly lost his motivation to complete his project and released it as-is. However in 2007 Mikko Sandt would get into contact with Bernard and offer to fix the bug in the "Frozen" level, the exit button in "Big City Nights", and add a new level called "Hidden Zone". Bernard gave Sandt his blessing, and that's what you see here!

This mod was certainly quite the trip to play through and fun to show the world for varying reasons, and it feels so good to finally clean my plate of all this! Now to finally give my full opinion on every episode...

Last Reastion: Hoo boy. If I had to pick a classic that didn't age particularly well, this would be it. Absurdly high amounts of enemy bastards with marginal ammo to kill them all with, complete with multi-button puzzles and huge labyrinths for levels. Seriously I was trying to complete it as fast as I could, and the video I uploaded was still more than two hours!

Water Bases: Now this one I liked much better. It was much more straightforward, had a good enemy count to ammo ratio, and the secrets were fun to find. The final boss took forever to die, but even that felt like child's play compared to going through the previous episode.

Chimera: Gosh, all the new enemies were fun to fight and the levels were a treat to explore. I really wish this one got to be finished, because it was such a treat to see Bernard greatly improve his ability to make custom games over the course of 3 episodes. Easily one of my favorite ancient episodes I ever played through!
