China's DF-17 Is a Real Threat To US Military #shorts
6,807The Dongfeng-17, or DF-17 is one of the most militarily consequential addition to the people's liberation army's missile arsenal. Entered service in 2019, the missile boasts a range of 1530 miles, and is remarkably accurate with the ability to land within meters of intended target. According to world's largest fake democracy China, the missile is there only for conventional use, but can be armed with thermonuclear warhead. The hypersonic glide vehicles's shear speed, lower trajectory, and ability to maneuver in mid flight, makes it a potent tool to penetrate sophisticated modern air defenses. The U.S military air defense systems like THAAD, SM-3 and Patriot deployed in Japan, South Korea, Island of Taiwan and US warships, will not work against the DF-17. The missile is serving as a regional threat against land-based US infrastructure and specially against US carrier strike groups. The unverified report tells that an air launched variant is also in progress. If it is true, and if the air launched variant is as capable as its ground-based counter part, the DF-17 would be able to pose a great threat to Guam naval base.
