Just How Stealthy Is F-35 lightening II #shorts
Just how stealthy is F-35 lightening 2. The B-2 bombers flew over Mig-29 undetected in Serbia, and F-22 raptor flew undetected under F-4 phantoms near Iran, but no such story regarding F-35's stealth capabilities? The F-35 in it's frontal aspect is like the size of Eminem candy, oh sorry, I mean MnM candy, but rear of the fighter jet is its most problematic aspect from a stealth standpoint! So, what about the rear stealth? It is achieved by edge alignment of the wing and stabilator trailing edges. By using Radar absorbent Material, or RAM in things like the flaps, wingtips, rudders and stabilators to absorb the radar energy, and by using an RF & infrared low observable nozzle. The petals of this nozzle feature chevrons that work to both redirect radar energy away from its source, and to shed vortices that causes ambient air to mix quicker with the exhaust plume, reducing its infrared signature. But again, the F-35 is less stealthy from the rear than it is from the front. The F-35’s exhaust nozzle will lose much of its stealthiness when lower frequency radars view it from the rear.
