Synopsis: Gaigongmei is a fifteen-year old girl from the state of Manipur in North-east India. When she joins a new school in a city far from home, instead of trying to get to know her, the students indulge in stereotyping her on the basis of her looks, region and culture. It is only when she succeeds in making her
presence felt with an important Chinese scholar, that she gets accepted and also teaches the students an important lesson about the diversity of India.
