Synopsis: Ottaal (The Trap) is an adaptation of one of Anton Chekhov's timeless works, Vanka. Although
located in the 18th century, the story has travelled in time and space to be retold in the present day at a small village in South India. It is also the recipient of several awards including the Award for the Best Film on Environmental Conservation/ Preservation at the 62nd National Film Awards; and a number of Kerala Film Critics Award in 2015.
