So this was composed ages ago, and was set to drop when the final campaign name for Specter Knight's was finally revealed and I could get a FDS-style box art for it. In fact, it supersedes pretty much every other track I scheduled as of right now. This past Monday, it was finally revealed that the name of the apparition's campaign was to be 'Specter of Torment', so be content with the knowledge that a few bloody tears died for the sins of a lich.

I kept the logo for Plague Knight's Japanese logo in mind when designing this box art. In case it's hard to read, it reads トーメントのゴースト, or Tōmento no Gōsuto (Ghost of Torment). However, knowing 8-4 they'll probably do a boring, English-esque translation (スペクタオブトーメント, or Supekuta Obu Tōmento)*.

This was basically me trying to figure out how to use the Zelda I bell in the main melody. It's actually been so long since this track has been ready that I honestly don't remember what went through my head when composing this. However, looking back at Shovel Knight FDS as a whole, one thing I did notice is that, despite what someone had pointed out during the Extra Mario Bros. FDS videos, the FDS channel was in fact used for the melody in the Disk version of Castlevania II. From what I understand, though, it was implemented poorly(?), making the NES version be the superior version (for once).
