Probably the only water level in a video game that doesn't make me want to stay on land.

I'm not exactly kidding, either - Maridia (or at least the non-sandy parts of it), unlike most water stages in the games I've played, has very few of the aspects of a normal water level that make me want to rage. It's got an amazing landscape, solid level design, and better water physics than most. See, by the time you typically end up there, you have the Gravity Suit, which makes the traditionally terrible water physics a non-issue - and for certain speedrunners, it's at least not terrible enough to make a reverse boss order run outright impossible. Above all else, however, the music in this area, which I consider absolutely beautiful, hence why I decided to cover it.

I'm mainly doing this because I want to expand on the video format I used last week - this time, I recorded this using a combination of OBS and bsnes. The specific version of Super Metroid was one using the MSU-1 patch, only muted so the audio didn't get picked up and eat at my ears as I recorded. Obviously this means you get to watch me play Super Metroid very poorly.
