NUZLOCKE RULES!
1) You can only catch the first Pokémon you encounter in each new area. If you fail to catch the first encounter, you simply don't get a Pokémon in that area.
2) If a Pokémon faints, it is dead. It cannot be revived using items or a Pokémon Center, and must either be released or permanently put in your PC box.
3) All Pokémon must be nicknamed. This increases the bond between trainer and Pokémon, and makes losing one even more traumatic!
("Dupes clause": if the first encounter in a route is a Pokémon you have already caught, or another member of its evolutionary line, you can choose to re-encounter until you find a new species. This is optional.)
