Chromatics is an American electronic music band from Portland, Oregon, formed in 2001. The band consists of Ruth Radelet (vocals, guitar, synthesizer), Adam Miller (guitar, vocoder), Nat Walker (drums, synthesizer), and Johnny Jewel (producer, multi-instrumentalist). "Shadow" was made available as a single on September 9, 2015. Originally to appear on the yet-to-be-released fifth album, Dear Tommy (still pending as of April 20, 2021). The band performed "Shadow" at the end of the season premiere of Showtime's Twin Peaks: The Return, which aired on May 21, 2017 (which is where I first heard it and saw it performed, stunned and lulled by its beauty ... it and the band were appropriately placed by Mr. Lynch).
