The first file types to be prohibited are executable files, such as.exe or.bat, and this block was implemented with the release of Chrome 86. Non-executable file types like PDF, ZIP, and JPG would be blocked in future Chrome versions.
The request does not respond after pressing the download button/icon on a web page. Alternatively, the mandatory download prompt box might not show as expected when selecting a location to save the download(s). Chrome supporters claim that despite numerous internet searches, they have yet to locate enough remedy to the problem.
