In this excerpt from the full review, I discuss whether Chronicles of the Wolf is on par with Castlevania, which they've nailed to match Konami's saga.
Embark on a dark and thrilling adventure as Mateo Lombardo, the last apprentice of the Order of the Rose Cross. Your mission: hunt down the legendary and sinister Beast of Gévaudan. You'll face fast-paced and challenging combat and delve into an interconnected world filled with secrets, ancient castles, treacherous forests, and enigmatic ruins. As you talk to locals, arm yourself with powerful weapons, solve puzzles, and unlock abilities that can change the course of your destiny, you'll have to defeat brutal bosses that will test your reflexes. All of this is accompanied by stunningly illustrated cutscenes, in-depth narration by the legendary Robert Belgrade, and an immersive soundtrack composed by Jeffrey Montoya, enhanced with a guest track by Óscar Araujo, a Spanish composer known for soundtracks such as Konami's Castlevania: Lords of Shadow series. 🎮
