Want to have (almost) all characters in the same game file? Go to Sprigg's home.
Key Notes:
- You can do this as soon as you get the Chrono Cross before you decide to save Kid from her coma.
- In order to pull this off, you must have had a different character that you didn't obtain on your first run (like choosing Pierre over Nikki) but then got one on the second run and then beat the TimeDevourer while having that new character in the entire lot. In that third or subsequent New Game+, the characters that you ignored can be obtained again at this point in time.
- Basically, any characters that you managed to gather before beating the TimeDevourer will pass the flag that allows them all to be re-obtained using this method (you don't really need to have two different characters while beating it). Because of this, Harle can be easily forgotten as she had left the team, missing the flag for her to be obtained. Just beat the TD while she's with Serge in Lynx's form anytime so that she gets her flag in the next New Game+ file. It apparently doesn't cause a temporal paradox seeing she merged with the Dragon God...
- The only character you can't have is Lynx himself due to sharing the same character slot as Serge.
- After all's said and done, go to Home Hydra Marshes to the spot where you escaped the Temporal Vortex. Use the Astral Amulet to warp back to Sprigg's home (angering her). Just after moving a bit, a message about the Chrono Cross acting strangely will come up. Use it and presto, you have an obscene amount of characters to choose from.
- ADDITIONAL INFO: If you happened to ignore getting an optional character (like Van or Draggy) before using the Chrono Cross here, they will all rejoin regardless if you skipped them on the current run. Any key items needed to obtain certain characters will remain in the inventory for some reason, like Skelly's bones.
- It's still possible to get everybody's level 7 tech at this point...but not Pierre's and Doc's techs since they CAN be lost forever if you didn't pick the Prop Sword and the Medical Book at the Dead Sea's Tower of Geddon before defeating Miguel.
