4Recap: Dark Serge greets the party at the entrance to Fort Dragonia, and attempts to fight them off. Not accepting defeat, he decides to taunt them and leave instead. Serge proceeds alone into the main chamber, and after placing the dragon's tear on the pedestal, he's able to regain his original form. The tear shatters, becoming the Tear of Love.
At the Dead Sea Ruins, the portals now repond to Serge in his original form with the 6 dragon relics, and the way to the Sea of Eden is opened. They arrive at a place called the Chronopolis Military Research Center, from 2400 A.D. Ghosts of a future timeline appear to go about their day-to-day business, researching ways to gain control over time itself. They learn that the El Nido Archipelago was artificially created 10,000 years ago. The center has used Fate to achieve control of multiple timelines, and the alternate history of Lavos is recorded on their computers. They even have the technology to reconstitute both the fleshy vessel of a lifeform and its brain activity and memories, thereby effectively overcoming death.
