This fight is fairly easy when you are not trying for the good ending. I would suggest bringing your heavy hitters and smashing the boss. I could have taken some of my Black Elemental users but I like having Fargo for the Blue Elemental healing he provides. You will notice how at some points the boss would try casting a Yellow or other color element depending upon what had been cast already. That is your queue to begin the sequence necessary for activating the chrono cross but since we did not want the good ending we just ignored it.
