Chrono Trigger - 016 - Kingdom of Zeal
21After Lavos crashes into the planet, it leaves behind a huge crater with a mysterious gate inside. Not knowing where it goes, of course my party jumps right in to find themselves in the world eons later where two main types of classes have emerged. A magical race of people live on floating islands that make a paradise for them, while the ground people live in squalor and rags.
As we are exploring we meet a strange boy named Janus who tells us one of us is going to die soon!? Later we find him talking to his sister Schala about the "Black Wind" and how their mother, the queen, has changed. Before we learn more Schala is called to the Ocean Palace.
As we explore some more, we find the Mammon Machine, a large device built to harness the power of Lavos, which is responsible for the paradise they currently live in. Using it we charge up Marle's pendant which now allows up to open those magically sealed doors and chests! Finally!
Now able to open the sealed door, we try and eavesdrop drop on the queen, but they notice us immediately and drop Golem on us.
After defeating Golem we are trapped in a force field until Schala and Janus break us free, asking us to save the Gurus. The the Prophet comes and makes Schala send us back to the Stone Age and locks the gate.
