Chrono Trigger: Lavos Phase 2 Safe Strat [Read Description]
1If you're having issues with this fight (even though this game is like 30 years old at this point BUT HEY SOME PEOPLE NEVER PLAYED IT), here's what I did.
I used crono, marle and robo. 2 Healers 1 dps.
Crono should have the haste helm, some sort of status immunity and the frenzy band along with a strong weapon, I have the rainbow blade.
Marle will have the prism dress, a status immune helm, and Green dream. Weapon doesn't matter as much as we use marle for healing/buffing and occasional magic damage.
Robo I have robos ultimate weapon equipped, along with fleas bustier for more magic resist and status immune armor as well.
STRAT: Phase 1 is easy which is why it's not here, just spam a strong AoE attack with crono while marle and robo help heal, cure wind is very nice to have here.
For phase 2, crono having the haste helm will help alot here. You want to make sure you're attacking the RIGHT bit AFTER you've gotten rid of the left bit, hence why crono has the haste helm. He can easily get rid of the left bit. We use Marle and Robo for cure winds, and robo for extra damage while marle uses haste, healing spells and defensive items such as barrier and magic resist items. Marle gets Barrier to survive physical damage attacks, crono gets magic resist. When you feel safe, (generally after a round of attacking right bit and on the turn he's reviving the left bit) use the tri tech Lifeline. This will SAVE your ass incase the middle bit decides to get a bug up his ass and do 3 big attacks to everyone. Also having elixirs and megaelixirs help a TON. Whenever you are buffed up, use Marle to haste everyone up, then unleash hell on the right bit and left bit when its up. Crono will do most of your damage here with the frenzy band (I only had the rage band cause I missed the frenzy band but I still did a considerable amount of counter attacks.) That's the fight in a nut shell.
TL;'DR: Buff with Marle, heal with Marle and Robo. Kill Left bit, destroy right bit with all you got. Win.
