Chrono Trigger Speedrun (Glitchless Any%/No Manip) - Commentated Run
286Chrono Trigger SNES version, played on North American SNES console (modded for component video output) with OEM controller (no turbo). Timing is from naming Crono to start of Lavos Core's death animation.
'Glitchless' bans the Fadeout, Save Anywhere, De-equip, and Elixir HP Overflow major glitches (among a few other minor ones), and 'No Manipulation' bans intentional manipulation of battle RNG seeds (generally done by saving/resetting with a timed load to initialize the battle RNG to a known state).
This run uses a route specifically designed for marathons - it's about 30 minutes slower than the optimal Glitchless Any% route in order to make for a more watchable & marathon safe run (via advancing the main story further & cutting out a lengthy grinding session + the Lavos Shell boss rush, and having a stronger party for the final boss).
